The Thames Valley Club (TVC) exists to provide Fujitsu people (and those of associated companies) based in the
Thames Valley with a constant programme of activities to meet a variety of tastes. Formed in 1996 as a
direct result of the merger between the Bracknell and Slough Sports & Social Club’s, TVC is run by a
committee of full and associated members who put in their time on a voluntary basis to ensure a variety of
activities and events such as ...
- Summer BBQs
- Live Music
- Annual Squash Tournament
- Wine Tasting Events
- Theatre Visits
- Annual Christmas Fayre
- Quizz & Curry Nights
- Children’s Pantomime Visit
Numerous visits to theatres, concerts, sporting and other popular events including ...
- West End Musicals
- Weekends on the Continent
- Test Match Cricket
- Provincial Shows
- Trips Abroad
- Heinekan Cup
We are able to offer most of these events at comptitive prices to TVC Members and their partners, by passing
on the benefits that we enjoy from Group Booking Discounts. The plans for the future are even more
extensive as the committee have a programme of events in place which should contain something for
everyone. Many of these activities will be subsidised for TVC Members and their guests.
Membership Prices
Amazingly, membership of the TVC costs only £24 a year. All employees on a Fujitsu payroll are eligible for
FULL membership, and moreover the Company will pay half your annual fee. The balance will be deducted at
source from your pay at a rate of only £1 a month. If you are not on a Fujitsu payroll, (e.g. - a contractor or
consultant) or just wish to be an ASSOCIATE member of the club, you may still join the TVC by paying your
annual subscription in advance, or by quarterly standing order. If you leave the company and take a
company pension and you were a member of the club for the two years prior to taking your pension you may
be eligible for free LIFE membership.
Some other clubs are also affiliated to TVC (see below).
